Springtime in the Elfyverse
Today’s guest blog is up at the Opinionated Man’s busy establishment…take a look!
I’ve been thinking about spring, the season, and how it relates to my Elfy duology AN ELFY ON THE LOOSE and A LITTLE ELFY IN BIG TROUBLE. (For purposes of discussion, call them “the Elfyverse” for now.) Spring, as a season, is all about new beginnings. And the love of two young people like Bruno the Elfy and Sarah, his mostly-human teenage girlfriend, is certainly a new beginning.
But there’s more to spring in the Elfyverse than that.
You see, when the Elfy duology opens, Bruno the Elfy is in a horrible position. He’s an orphan, or ward of the state, and has been basically dumped in the Human Realm (our Earth) because the powers that be in the Elfy Realm—the Elfy High Council—just don’t want to deal with him.
